BE A MENTOR
Why become a mentor?
-
Support students/those in early or established careers in the food industry
-
Learn about the challenges that others face and offer support
-
Support recruitment of new talent into the industry
-
Potential for reverse mentoring to learn from someone different from yourself
-
Share your experiences to guide others

What is expected of a mentor?
-
Mentors needs to be clear on what they have to offer and the kind of mentee they would like to support
-
We suggest being able to dedicate 1 hour of time per month to your mentee discussions, plus some preparation time
-
The mentee should lead the relationship and be clear with you as a mentor on the areas of support they are looking for
-
Commitment and respect - we ask our mentors to be respectful of the mentees commitment and time and to ensure they are committed to the process

Our pairing windows happen twice a year. Not all applications to be a mentor are successful.

Read through our mentoring guide to learn how to make the most of your mentoring relationship.

If you have applied in the October intake, please add flourishinfoodmentoring@gmail.com to your contacts so you don't miss your pairing email from us in November.
